Thank you for visiting our site. This page has been created to give you information about the school inspection positions available and selection timelines. Please take a tour of our videos and links provided on this page to get a broader sense of who we are: Dubai, KHDA and DSIB.

Inspection in Dubai
We expect you know what a school inspector does but we have such an amazing diverse array of schools and curricula here that it won’t be like any inspection you have done before. You can review our current inspection framework here.

Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) inspects more than 160 schools. The inspections start in October every year and continue through until February and occasionally beyond. The inspections are in blocks lasting three weeks.

Positions Available
We are currently recruiting for both full time and part time (associate) school inspectors. Part time or Associate inspectors fly in for each inspection block lasting 3 weeks minimum. A full job description can be downloaded below.

Application Process
Click on the “Application Info” button below for the job descriptions and further application information.

Application Info

Please contact us via email at dsib.resourcing@khda.gov.ae with your application.

The Selection Process
All year we receive applications for both associate inspectors (part time) and full time inspectors.

These are reviewed and shortlisted candidates are asked to attend a Skype interview.

The period between receiving an application and being requested to attend a Skype interview can take any length of time up to the May cutoff date for the subsequent intent to employ notification.

In the months May to July preceding the annual inspection cycle all the applicants who are successful as associate inspectors (part time) are notified (with an intent to employ)  and then later, if their availability matches our inspection requirements, they will be offered deployment (a contract).

In subsequent academic years these associate inspectors will received the same invitation.

Applicants for full time positions will be invited to Dubai for an assessment centre meeting and face to face interviews.

As we receive upwards of 50 applications per day, the process needs to be thorough so that every candidate’s application receives the due diligence it deserves. There are several selection steps using various team members’ expertise along the way.

As soon as any application has reached the point of interview, then the applicant will be advised – conversely for any rejection we try and keep the communication as swift as possible.

Logistics
DSIB will organize flights and hotel accommodation for associate (part time) inspectors. We expect you to get to and from airports but we provide transport to and from schools and your hotel.

If you are offered a full time contract, your accommodation will be covered for an initial period until you find your own permanent accommodation.

Training
Associate inspectors will be given a short training and, depending on skills, a shadowing and mentoring introduction to inspection. We will train you to use our software system and to use our school inspection framework. Training takes place before each block of inspections and is repeated as necessary for inspectors joining part way through a block of inspections.

Performance appraisal
Our reputation is built on our performance. We assure the quality of all our work by visiting schools during inspections to monitor and advise on the inspection process and the performance of inspectors.
