Dr. Wafi is responsible for setting KHDA’s excellence standards and its developmental planning. He is the former Chairman of Dubai Quality Group and the Vice Chairman of the Global Benchmarking Network, which represents more than 30,000 businesses and government agencies across the world.
He is an Adjunct Professor in the British University in Dubai and a member of the editorial committee of the Ministry of Interior Quality Journal. He holds a Ph.D. in Performance Management and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Sunderland, UK.
He completed the Sheikh Mohammed leadership program and in 2004 was awarded by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum the Distinguished Employee of Dubai in the Dubai Government Excellence Program.
