Higher Education

The Higher Education Permits Department at the Regulations and Compliance Commission (RCC) oversees the provision of tertiary education in the Dubai’s free zones. The department currently oversees all higher education providers located in Dubai’s free zones. Currently, Higher Education Providers in the Free Zones in Dubai offer numerous undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate programmes in the Medicine, Engineering, Law, Management, Arts and Science disciplines, to mention just a few. Depending upon the country of origin, programmes are offered in English, Arabic, Iranian and French. Currently over 15796 students study at the institutions in the free zones.

In addition to regulating the tertiary sector and assisting them with their needs, the Higher Education Permits Department offers the following services

Issuance of a new Educational Services Permit
Renewal of a Permit
Amendments to the Permit
Approval of advertisements
Cancellation of a Permit
