British curriculum-based schools in Dubai can now apply to participate in British Schools Overseas inspections, which will be carried out at the same time as those by the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB). Schools will be inspected against standards that are equivalent to those for independent schools in the UK, taking into account local requirements.

This opportunity is the result of an agreement between KHDA and the Department for Education of England and Wales (DfE) where BSO inspections will be delivered by KHDA and CfBT Education Trust as part of their strategic cooperation agreement.

If your school is interested in making an application for BSO inspection in the school year 2013/14, please complete the registration and self-review forms on the KHDA website here and submit a draft calendar for 2013/14. Applications must be submitted before March 31, 2013 to rcc@khda.gov.ae. Applicants will be notified by April 30, 2013 about the status of their application.
